Yesterday, our Head of Services, Frank Browne, had the pleasure of attending The Wheel’s Regional Roadshow in Athlone—an important gathering of nonprofit leaders, community organisations, and changemakers from across the region.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with peers, share insights, and explore the evolving landscape of community and voluntary services in Ireland. With a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and sustainability, the roadshow highlighted both the challenges and opportunities currently facing organisations working to support children, young people, and families.

Frank’s attendance reflects EPlus’ ongoing commitment to staying engaged with sector developments and ensuring that our services continue to meet the needs of the communities we support. Events like these are vital spaces for learning, reflection, and partnership-building—particularly as the sector navigates increasing demand, resource pressures, and the need for creative, future-focused solutions.
A key theme throughout the day was the importance of strengthening networks and fostering collaboration across organisations. At EPlus, we recognise that meaningful impact is often achieved through collective effort, and we are always keen to engage with others who share our mission of empowering individuals and families to thrive.
The discussions also reinforced the growing importance of sustainable funding models and social innovation—areas that closely align with our current strategic focus, including the exploration of privately funded supports and new approaches to service delivery.
We would like to thank The Wheel for hosting such a well-organised and insightful event. We look forward to continuing the conversations started in Athlone and to building strong partnerships that enhance the support available to communities nationwide.
